Since 2002 we have provided commissioned music for programmes on the BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and a range of cable and satellite channels in the UK and abroad. Some of our recent work includes incidental music and title themes for:
- John Sergeant on the Tourist Trail (ITV1)
- Rivers with Griff Rhys Jones (BBC1)
- The Underdogs (Channel 4)
- The Living Body (Channel 4 / National Geographic USA)
We're always happy to work on commission to provide music that's absolutely right for your production. We place an emphasis on authenticity and credibility in the music we produce, using live instruments and musicians wherever possible. We are both skilled multi-instrumentalists, and also have strong links to some of the UK's top orchestral musicians from the Hale Orchestra, plus a range of amazing vocalists and jazz / rock musicians. Where a budget limits possibilities in live recording we have extensive libraries of virtual instruments, samples and sound effects which sound great in their own right or combined with live performances. In the case of hiphop, electronica, dance and R&B styles we combine cutting edge equipment and software with vintage synths and outboard effects to create a big, slick commercial sound.
In bringing our ideas to your production, our approach is flexible and practical. We know that every director, producer and editor likes to work with music in a different way, and can score music and sound design to an existing cut, a storyboard or just a basic outline.
Our fees vary depending on the programme budget and broadcaster. Our advice is always free however, so please feel free to get in touch if you have a project or an idea you'd like to discuss.
