Why master my tracks with Squareears?
- Mastering can help to add warmth, punchiness, presence and vitality to your mixes.
- Stereo enhancement / Mid-Side EQ and other processing can help a narrow mix fill both speakers, achieving a fuller, richer sound.
- We can use a range of software and vintage outboard gear to get the volume of your mixes up to a commercial level without killing them.
- Use of high-end analogue mastering EQ and compressors can help remove digital harshness from your mixes.
- Subtle compression in mastering can give mixes a focus on vocals without seperating them from the mix.
- We provide Red-book standard CD compilation, ready for duplication.
- Flexible, friendly service.
- Final tracks can be provided on CD (data and audio) and / or data formats such as WAV or MP3 (CDs and postage included in price).*
- We can advise you on CD / Vinyl duplication.
- £30 per track, £200 for a full album (9-14 tracks).
Check out the examples on the right to hear the difference between mastered and unmastered mixes in a selection of tracks we've mastered. Press the A - B button on the players to switch between mixes. Please note that due to the limitations of Flash, these demos are 128kbps MP3s and not CD quality audio.
While our service is unattended, it is satisfaction guaranteed - We send you cut-down samples of your mastered tracks and you only pay for the full length versions if you are happy with the results.
* Tracks can be uploaded and downloaded from our server or posted on audio / data CD (preferred format 24-bit WAV). Ideally mixes to master should not have been through any master bus limiting, compression or EQ beforehand. While mastering can help to enhance audio, it is often not a good solution for fixing problems in a mix. If you have a mix you are unhappy with, but cannot take it back to the original studio, we could help you- please email us for information on mix troubleshooting.
